Myth or truth?

"I can learn English from a teacher whose native language is the same as mine. This means if my mother tongue is Hindi or Tamil, I can learn English only from a teacher who speaks that language."
Is this true or just a myth?
Take my opinion; the statement is false. I have taught Beginner’s level students from different parts of the world, each having a different native language. I have been using rich multimedia content full of explanatory images, audio and video inputs that simplify the learning process.
Indeed, as a teacher, I get to learn and innovate much more when the common language between the student and me is just English. Imagine what an experience it is to teach the use of basics like ‘is’, ‘am’ or ‘are’ to learners who are new to the English language.
Finally, it is the mindset that matters. After all, aren’t we prepared to master a new language, say French from any teacher who knows the language properly? To me, it won’t matter if s/he knew English or my native language Hindi?
What do you think?

Thanks Jung Kyoung Sig, for pointing it out. I added the quotes to show that this is the opinion of my potential learners.

Yes, I think I need a native speaker of english or another language that I want to learn, bcz If learn it from non-native speaker, there`s different on how to speak, there`s many accent from the teacher that influence the student, and though I`d ever learned english from non-native english, I still can`t speak and understand easily if talking with the native one.

I agree with Namrata and Jung on this point. For learning English all one needs is a learning attitude and a passionate guide. It doesn't really matter if he/she is a native or non-native speaker.English is such a beautiful language, learn from anyone whom you feel is worth teaching.

I got it.
I agree with you.

I don't understand why you say that I can learn English ONLY from a teacher who speaks that language.

Everybody can learn english from non-native teachers or native teachers.
