There must be regular courses for teachers of English. In absence of it,the standard of teaching will keep on deteriorating.

I have been to India twice.Indians take English on their way.It is good. English is no more a heritage of British people.Culture which was behind the English Language during the colonial period is gone now.We don't need to follow the English culture, but the language. In foregin countries such as India and Sri Lanka this language should be taught with a comparative methods with their local languages which enrich the local and cultural thought patterns.India has a lot of text books which promote the above concept. This process has to be promoted by encouraging the local writers who write in English for our children.Teachers should be trained to follow this new methods.
A lot to say.

My biggest concern for India and any non English country is the negative aspects of our TV and movie products. As many, if not most, who view these tend to accept them (both language and values portrayed) without critical thought I am sad about what they may learn.

There some great benefits from our culture and media. Unfortunately we also allow to many things in the name of "individual freedoms". So please take and enjoy the language but "caveat emptor" buyer beware!

I have never been to India but it seems that this Wiziq platform is from India, yes? This great and innovative start-up tells me that some of you are ahead of the curve, so to speak. Further I am impressed by the Indian WIZIQ ESL teachers. They are very understandable in spite of an accent this is new to me. But, I must say that I enjoy the accent it is particularly endearing to hear it when the women speak.

On a separate note.... Beware of the wonders of an international language. Particularly from a people (native English speaking countries)who unfortunately tend to be prideful. If I may interject a biblical reference, check out the Old Testament account of Babylon.

as for as my knowledge is concern in india awarenese for english language is not sufficiant. in the name of their regional language politicians so cald ` ABIMAANI ' always oppose the learning of english language.
of late in karnataka , most kannada writers opposed the learning English in Primary schools as a medium.
