Most of the time students end up reading the passage rather than answering the questions. Some tips for reading sections are:
1) Read the question before reading passage
2) Identify what type of question it is (main idea, detail, vocabulary, inference, chart, graph and so on)
3) Find and read parts of passage which contains keywords or related keywords from the question
4) Choose best answer which is restatement of what you have read in passage
5) Be cautious in answers with similar vocabulary or grammar
