Conquering Your Fear of Public Speaking

by Austin B.
Posted on 22 November, 2009

Hello! It has been a while since I have taught here on WiZiQ, but I would really like to start up again with a favorite!

Public speaking is a common source of stress for everyone. Many of us would like to avoid this problem entirely, but this is hard to do. Whether we work alone or with large numbers of people, eventually we will need to speak in public to get certain tasks accomplished. And if we want to be leaders or achieve anything meaningful in our lives, we will often need to speak to groups, large and small, to be successful.

The truth about public speaking, however, is IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE STRESSFUL! If you correctly understand the hidden causes of public speaking stress, and if you keep just a few key principles in mind, speaking in public will soon become an invigorating and satisfying experience for you.

I have taught this class several times before and have always gotten magnificent results. I really hope that you can attend and thanks for making me feel so welcome here!

Thank you Austin for your support and help.I attended a seminar on public speaking few years ago.The teacher told us that she is going to pick 10 people from the audience at random and ask them to speak for 10 minutes extempore on topics that would be given to them While she was walking down the aisle to pick,i was praying to God that i should not be picked up.She picked me noting my visible nervousness and after that she said that she was going to call one by one.I was under tremendous tension. After a brief pause she said she was not going to
call any one of us and saidthat it was pure joke.I heaved a sigh of relief that i escaped a danger..So many have this fear, thank you for your class
